I have stayed at the Parasol Inn twice now. In addition to the stylish Thai decor, the staff are the hotel's most charming feature. Excellent location for the Sunday market, and reasonably priced rooms (esp if you book for more than two nights). They're currently extending their restaurant to include live music and a more fully featured bar.

I stayed here in February. The staff was great. They were helpful and friendly, booked some tours for me. I extended my stay after I arrived and they were able to keep me in the room I preferred. My room was spacious and clean. I had a room in the front with a view. I think the rooms in the... More

I can't say enough about this place. Price is reasonable, room clean and well serviced. The staff was amazing, their English was great, they went out of their way to look after me. Location is perfect, Sunday walking street is on your doorstep. When I return to Chiang Mai I will definitely be staying here again.

What a wonderful place. I spent 3 weeks in Chiang Mai and I like to stay at several places if I go to an area for any length of time over 4 days. After trying 4 hotels in Chiang Mai I went back and they treated me like I was a long lost relative. The staff is wonderful, Ning was... More

Everything about this hotel was great. The rooms were nice and super clean (and clean immaculately every day), the A/C was ice cold (great in hot Chiang Mai) and the location is perfect. It's really close to the night markets, good restaurants and night life. But the highlight is definitely the staff. We spent 5 night there and got to... More

This hotel is well located within the city centre. You can walk to many restaurants and other attractions from here. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling. We arrived and were given wet face clothes to clean our hands and a delightful lemon grass drink. The hotel does not have an elevator so the staff delivered our... More

My wife and I stayed at the Parasol Inn during our vacation over Christmas and it was an awesome experience. The location is great in the Old Town, next door to one of the nicer temples in Chiang Mai. We walked everywhere and rented a scooter only the days when we wanted to see things outside of Chiang Mai. I chose Parasol Inn after doing a lot of research online. I wanted a place that was affordable for a budget-minded traveler, well-located, comfortable, clean, quiet, with friendly, responsive staff. Parasol turned out to be a perfect choice and provided all that I was hoping for, and even a bit more. There were some charming touches, such as the elephant... More
