I've stayed at the Manathai many times. Mostly traveling with many partner and more recently with 14 friends on a custom designed tour of Cambodia and Thailand. This property is in a more traditional Lanna style so don't expect flash large contemporary rooms. If you want slick and modern go for a large chain hotel. If you want personal service... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and really loved the style of the hotel, traditional and nice furnishings. The grounds are lovely and well established with beautiful tress and plants. The rooms are fairly small but was fine for 4 nights. one issues i found was the staff lacked enthusiasm and never made you feel welcome, not very polite and... More

Hi everybody! I visited Chiang Mai this may) And i spent some time when i was choosing hotel At first i thought that it is good idea to find hotel in Old City but after 1-2 ours i got that there aren't many variants in old city for comfortable living I mean 4-5 star hotel with swimmingpool as minimal requests,... For four days, the hotel, its greenery, and pool, seemed like an oasis in the midst of a busy city, both markets being within walking distance. With good food in its restaurant, we stayed put for two dinners, eating outside around the pool where it was cooler. We began with complimentary munchies which were offered at the poolside bar, beginning... More

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights in April 2013. We had a lovely relaxing time. The rooms are small, but wonderfully decorated. Bar / dining area is small but nice. Pool looks nice - not really a pool person so can't really comment on it as I didn't try it. Lots to do in the area. Night... More

I stayed here alone, so the small room was not a problem for me. (Plus, if you have stayed in other hotels in Asia, this one is quite normal in size). I loved the charm and decor and the staff were wonderful and helpful. They arranged my transport from the airport to the hotel, which I highly recommend to other... More

Maybe not the easiest hotel to find (still in a good location though), Manathai Village has plenty of character and personality. Most of the 30 rooms face inward toward a lush garden and swimming pool, which can get a little noisey at times. Having spend considerable time at the Kenyan coast near Malinda, it felt like this hotel was transplanted... More

This nice old house, located in the old Chiang Mai, surounded by a tropical garden has many attractive points. The pool gives a refreshing feeling, having a drink after a day of trekking or walking is delicious. A small restaurant, with few tables under the trees is pretty good, the curries especially are delicious. All the atmosphere is inviting to... More

The Bath room was discussting. For the first time in all my reviews," Dont stay... More
