We only stayed here one night, and it was fine but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. The location is good, and we paid 350 baht for a double with fan and an en-suite bathroom. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and I definitely wouldn't have wanted to sleep on it another night.

If all you are looking for is a cheap and clean bed for a cople of nights, Julie's will do the trick. Don't come expecting anything more - staff are rude (one gave me attitude when I asked her how to lock the door properly!) and the food at the restaurant is poor quality. The rooms overlooking the lobby area... More

Entirely true they check you out after 2nights without warning unless you sign up to their tours. The staff are cold, unfriendly and prioritise new guests over ones who already stay. They made a drama over the fact we intended to stay for longer than 2nights and they got teary eyed over the fact they had to go to the... More

So i checked into this hostel. At first, i liked the vibe and was enjoying the hippy/alternative scene. But unlike any other guest house in the local area, the staff at this hostel were rude and unhelpful. They appeared to focus entirely on quantity of new guests checking in rather than quality of service and the current guests who were... More

We went there 'cause Lonely Planet recomended it. After that I'm not sure if I will buy Lp book ever again. Urine-stinking room. Sticky bed - haven't checked what was beneath it in fear it may come to life. Good place for ppl don't want to sleep at night but listen to noises. The price was ok. Maybe we just... More

We stayed at Julie's for 5 nights. Made a telephone booking a day before and even though they had about 20 other people checking in that morning they still kept our room. The rooms was colourfull and as clean as any other Thai GH we have stayed in. We had hot water in our en suite BR for only 220... More

Julie Guesthouse is famous for it's nice restaurant and chill out area...which is true. Unfortunately the people working there know that the hostel is very popular among backpackers and don't care about them at all. If you don't book an overpriced tour with them (the tours offered here are much more expensive that in other places in town) they don't... More
