The Red Hibiscus felt like our home away from home. The positive energy and attitude of everyone who works to keep the place running is felt in the air. Being there, we felt at ease. The rooms are tastefully decorated in Lanna style and they are all unique. They are spotless and the sheets and towels are very clean. Something... More

Cozy guesthouse in the old part of town .Try to make reservation long ahead fore your trip to Chiang Mai , the guesthouse is very popular with many European travelers and the rooms could be all taken .Shopping centers open air markets , good restaurants near by all, in walking distance, the area is very safe . Very helpful staff

It's a homely guesthouse with so many other incentives. Gay (a staff) hooked me up with the best clothes and beauty products at a ridiculously affordable rate. Incase you are looking for the fashionista wow factor for both men and women.....do ask for Gay. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area far from the Chiangmai honking fiasco. The rooms... More

Tucked away from the noisy corner of the old city, Red Hibiscus was a lovely little home to us for 3nights in Dec 12. Clean tiled rooms, natural light and fresh air. The owner was very lovely and helpful and gave us discounts on some tours. It is a basic $30 p/night guesthouse but for that category we were happy.... More

I stayed at the Red Hibiscus in December 2012 for five days while looking for longer-term accommodation. It is a small, family-run guesthouse in a quiet area where everyone makes an effort to make your stay pleasant. I requested a first floor room and that is what I got. The room was good-sized, attractive - marble floor - and had... More

Double room with the largest bed I have ever slept on, lost my partner in there somewhere. Nice clean bathroom and good air con. Location slightly out of town centre, not really a problem. Best thing about this guesthouse was the lovely family staff who had a lot of time for us and couldn't do enough for us.

Stayed here for one night on my trip to Chiang Mai in March. Got dropped off here by accident by a tuk tuk driver on my way to a potentially more expensive place, so I walked in the door to give it a shot. The first thing that struck me was how friendly the family are that run the place,... More

Booked 2 rooms for 1 night Extended to 4 nights while looking for a home to rent long term. Happy to extend a further 14 days when waiting for the home to be renovated. I have no hesitation in recommending this guest house. The location for us was ideal being a short distance from anywhere we were wanting to go... More

We stayed 5 nights at the this guesthouse and were so happy we did. The service was excellent and the rooms, simple yet very comfortable. Perfect experience and would recommend for anyone staying in Chiang Mai. Just a short tuk tuk ride to most must-sees and able to make reservations for anything (i.e. cooking courses, elephant experience, doi suthep, etc).

We stayed at the Red Hibiscus for three nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. Location wise, you are a short tuk tuk ride away for all attractions, shops etc. Tuk tuk rides are extremely cheap in chaing mai so it was extremely easy to get around. The service was fantastic.
