My room was plain and the furnishings very dated (and not in a good way), but considering what I paid, it was good value for a large room with A/C, a view over the river, and a large private bathroom. The bedding was also very nice. Still, I only stayed one night because I cringed everytime I looked at the... More

It's right in the thick of a buzzing street, walking distance to all kinds of bars, restaurants, street food... The rooms are decent and set back a little from the hustle and noise of Soi Rambutri. If you like cheesy, pulsing neighborhoods this is a great little spot to hang out for a few days. For less than 30 USD... More

I should have put this on Trip Adviser in 2006. I stayed at Mango Lagoon on the fourth floor for two months in August / September 2006. I went out for dinner one night and withdrew 23, 000 baht from the yellow bank at the beginning of Rambutree Road, to buy some stock at China town the next day. I... More

Stayed here 2 times in 6 years and some things have changed but not much bigger restaurant is upgraded and still has good food. The room we had was nice not killer but worked as stay over night before going to Phuket. A/C was not the best and no fridge in room that sucks, but hotel is cheap in price.... More

My wife and I stayed here 3 years ago and we were surprised to see that nothing had been done maintenance-wise since our last trip. The carpets are worn and heavily stained. Room service is non-existent. We had to ask the desk for clean towels. Two 'working' girls have set up a reservation desk in the downstairs restaurant. They utilized... More

It's been my third time again at this hotel. It's more of a cheaper flashpacker joint and they have cheaper rates too if paid in full cash for the duration of stay. Just ask about it at the counter!

I stayed in Mango Lagoon about 5 years ago and had a great experience. Returning to Bangkok again I decided I would stay with what I knew. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. It turns out that when I first stayed here Mango Lagoon had just opened so everything was new. No real changes have been made to the interior or... More

I wrote a review of this hotel a few years ago and have stayed recently so though I would update my review. It is an excellent location - close to Khao San road, with many shops and restaurants nearby, but still manages to be quiet. Unfortunately, it seems over the years little or no money has been spent on the... More

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The hotel is nothing special, but cheap, quiet and the small rooms are OK. The service and food are average. The location however is very good! We would recommend this place if you are on a low budget and want to have a good night sleep in the Nightlife district of Bangkok.
