This place really misses it's potential. It's in a quite good location about a 5-10 minute walk from Asoke BTS (exit 6) and the new Terminal 21 shopping centre, but the negatives (as in earlier reviews) out-weight the positives: - staff are not very friendly or helpful - rooms have been updated a little (new shower/flat screen TV) but really... I stayed there in November 2010. I think hotel need a big mantenance. My room smelt litlle bit of mold and sometimes air con lost water on the floor, the shower had low pressure. Positive thing was about that the room was big and even if my room was on the street i had quite sleeping there. 5 mins walking... More

Hello there, Stayed there last August with my partner and we checked out after 1 night. Shocked by the service and expecially in a country like BKK. Please take the good and bad comments before making a decision. Cheers! Bob

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times, I find it very convenient. It is about a 10 minute walk to either the BTS or the MRT. It also in close proximity to two good gyms and a Foodland market that has a restaurant that's open 24 hours a day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

I have been to bkk countless of times and i have stayed in numerous hotels. But nothing beats my stay at Hotel Merisess. Let me give my honest opinion or reasons on why u should stay at Hotel Merisess whenever u are travelling at BKK. 1) Location the hotel is located near the BTS..and MRT as well..since Asoke itself is... Having been to Bangkok numerous times and having stayed at many hotels there, I have to say the Merissess does not deliver. It passes itself off as a sort of a boutique hotel, however once you actually stay there it is more like a very low budget, fairly dirty hotel with very inefficient service. Many things are attempted but they... More

A stay at Merisess has taught me a valuable lesson. That is to choose a hotel that is right next to a train station. The map (the size of a card can be obtained from the main desk) that was given to us was really insufficient judging from the trouble taxi drivers had in determining the exact location of the... This is by far, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Found out about Merisess through a travel agency, checked out the reviews at tripadvisor, before finally making a decision. Seeing so many positive reviews of this place over here, i'm starting to even doubt if those reviews are for real. Take time off and hear my story. You'll be... More
