Oh yes, they are famous for that, the receptionist is quite annoying and not helpful at all. Except there was one staff that very great, I met her at check in and thought the place changed. Even so, the room is still cool and the restaurant is the best I have ever eaten in Thailand. That's the reason I choose... More

Even though it's located in the middle of Sukhumvit, a _quite_ busy place, the Suk11 is a nice place to stop in the crazyness of Bangkok. The services (breakfast, location, laundry) are ok, and and the wood themed hotel is really nice, gives a touch of warmth. Rooms are more classical, and a little pricey for Thailand, but they're worth... More

An unexpected green oasis in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, simple but comfortable beds, friendly service, great restaurants within a one minute walking radius as well as a spa, Thai answer to 7-11 cafe and elephants walking up and down your street. And that is even before you leave Suk11 for the markets and the malls.... More

Stayed 3 nights at the Suk 11 after first arriving in Bangkok as a solo backpacker. Overall, it was decent enough. Location is good if you want to be in the sukhumvit area with easy access to the BTS train system. The service was fine, nothing special but polite and attentive. The breakfast was basic but good and the rooms... More

This place was fine, just not great. Clean rooms, good location and perfectly adequate service. But it's the third time I've stayed here (stayed 4 and 5 years ago roughly) and it definitely wasn't as good this time. Plus: Good location. Easy to book online. Close to Nana station. Minus: It's a really big place (3 or 4 floors of... More

I'm not quite sure what the atmosphere is - maybe old China - but the hostel is done up in old wood and batik cloth. It's perhaps a little too dim in the hallways, but room lighting is good, the bed excellent, the bathroom exceptionally clean - good shower and shower curtain, so the entire bathroom isn't soaked after a... Much of the interior design at Suk 11 is just brilliant. The lobby is very cool; the upper floor hallways give an illusion of walking though an old Chinese village at dusk; the upstairs common areas are quirky and interesting. Our en suite double (963 baht) wasn't as striking but it was spacious, attractive and comfortable. As many another reviewer... More

I love this place.. or rather.. I loved it. What happened to Suk 11? Can't hang on to what it use to be... as it's not living up to what it was and what it could be. The staff seem rather unhappy or just not interested in being friendly/upbeat/assisting/etc. Not exactly what you want to see when you're checking in... More

We stayed in the Suk 11 for one night. Even though the hostel has some backpacker charme, it is a cramped place where the air feels muggy wherever you are. If your room is located on the first floor you might feel like part of the kitchen - due to the smell. Worst thing were the bed bugs that went... More

I stayed here for 5 days and it exceeded all expectations. I had read the reviews about all the rules but really... For example no smoking in an all wooden building - makes sense. No bringing back non-hotel-guests to the rooms... Maybe a little harsh for some, but in BKK...makes for a more 'family' atmosphere.. The room was simple and... More
