Modern, convenient and commercial accommodations are ubiquitous throughout Bangkok but this type of classic is rare. As a regular traveler to Bangkok and lover of old days' things, this was the perfect spot for me. A Beer Lao just 1 meter above Chao Praya River was a pleasant extra!

Despite the fact that several taxi drivers could not find their way without help, this lovely guest house is the spirit of Thailand. The staff and the owner could not have been nicer, even running to the market when they ran out of shrimp for a dish I had ordered. It is artsy and unique, and eclectic. The food was... More

We were there for Songkran holiday for 2 nights in the Green room, it was alright. We did love the decoration of the place, totally unique and interesting. I was pleased with all the photos I have taken from there they all came out nice and lovely. It was also pleasant to sit by the river early in the morning... More

This is a gem in Bangkok, in fact one of the most memorable hotels I have ever stayed in. Very welcoming and helpful staff, excellent food and refreshments, and beautiful, comfortable accommodation. I will never stay anywhere else in Bangkok.

This place is such a great and unique spot. The hotel is located near China Town and the river, Chao Phraya. We (only) stayed there for one night because it was full, but I/we have to go there one more time and stay there for min 2 nights. The view is spectacular and sitting there to see the sunset or... We stayed for five nights. It took us two nights just to get used to this quirky, creaky old house, and to learn how to get around Bangkok from there. Whoever designed the renovation is a genius, adding modern amenities while keeping the old atmosphere. It was wonderful to be right on the river. This was not my first trip... More

A beautiful calm, quiet and cozy place away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food was nice and the view was to die for! I have nothing negative to say about the place, simply loved it! A good tip is to get around Bangkok by boat, as it is close to... More

We stayed in Loy La Long for 1 night only (we had to cut short our trip due to an emergency). Loy la long is a boutique hotel in its true sense in that there is a very high emphasis on the architecture, the riverside experience and the personalized service. Its a small hotel 5/6 rooms in a old teak... More

This was our last stop on a mini-tour of Thailand and it was by far our favourite hotel. The service is excellent - everyone is so friendly and helpful. Boat was amazing, advising us on what to do and how best to get about. I was really nervous about bangkok being all a bit much after relaxing in many beach... More

We stayed in the Blue Room for 3 nights and loved it for the ambience and decoration, and the view of the river. We used the deck which overhangs the river probably more than we should have, as we should have been out sightseeing. We ate 3 meals there and really enjoyed the simple food produced. It was tasty and... More
