I and my fiance booked this budget hotel but upon arrival, it seems that it wasmote than our expectation. Friendly staffs, cozy environment and spacious room with complete amenities. The walking distance to the Ming Quan and Yuan Shan nearest MRT took around 15 mins which we found that it's a little bit far from the hotel. But along the... More

The building outlook, lobby, other common areas are good, smart, bright. Room spacious with adequate provisions, clean but the toilet room has a strong musty smell. I suspect the smell comes from the bathtub curtain. Staff polite. Buffet breakfast does not have so many choices and may not be suitable for westerners, however it doesn't bother me as there are... Its really a nice hotel with excellent service. Nothing much to talk about facilities except free internet and wifi, but the place is really clean, with friendly helpful staffs. Personally I found the taiwanese breakfast to my liking, with vegetarian dishes and also some continental stuff. Ginding coffee machine to serve coffee, so no complains. They even got free adult... This hotel has great value for money. Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, free internet. Location is ok, about 10 min. walk to metro station. From hotel to all sights in Taipei within 30 minutes.

We had planned for 9 days in Taiwan, with the first few nites spent with Silken, then one other nite in between in Hualien and remaining with Silken. As we had to return to Singapore in the middle of the trip due to a family emergency, we returned to Silken Taipei from Hualien to catch the flight, and advised Silken... More

I got to stay 2 nights in Silken hotel last year. it was a bit difficult to find basing on the address (rode a cab to find it) since it was located in a corner. there had been some minor misunderstanding about my room reservation which had me a bit off. other than that, i was glad some staff can... While centrally located for Taipei, this hotel is unfortunately not within walking distance of all the sights and attractions. The closest metro is also a 15 minute walk, though it should be easy enough to find. The views of the hotel are not great, as it overlooks a flyover. If you intend to take taxis in Taipei (which are cheap)... More

I basically have the same thoughts as the previous reviews. Hotel is a great little clean, inexpensive hotel. What you see on the web site is what you get. Called hotel to reserve, got same rate as on their web site. Not too much in the area I don't think, but there was a street with a lot of pubs... More

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip to Taipei back in August and absolutely loved it! The room was so cute and very clean with a great price. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, but not always accurate with their information. Breakfast was included, which was a plus. The location of the hotel is good, with a short... More

Upon arriving at the hotel my friend and I were greeted by a friendly receptionist. We received complimentary Taiwanese beer on our first day and were happy to find out breakfast was included with our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The closest subway station to the hotel is the Yuanshan Subway Station. It's a 15 min walk from... More
