I'm a fan of Shangri-La but the room I stayed at (Superior Horizon 36/F) seemed very tired and like 4-Star and nothing like Shangri-La market. Staff are nice and helpful. I felt that other 5-star hotels in Taipei are of better value. The view over 101 is nice but I would trade that for finer room standard and better neighbourhood.

1st visit to Taipei : feel at home already !,!,! Wonderful nice rooms , gd location and sumptuous and wide wide spread of breakfast - the best best - staff : very friendly and helpful ; courteous - will definitely choose to stay here on my next 2nd visit to Taipei - Hippee Hippee Hurray-- Keep it up ----

I stayed for two nights at this hotel and felt very happy there. I was upgraded to a room on the 36th floor with a wonderful view, free wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfasts were great, so was the swimming pool and the service. I was sorry to leave

Stayed here before, this time 2 nights. Rooms, service, breakfast good as always. Staff attitude and service quality below standard this time, receptionist needed 45 minutes to sort out my billing information and arrange check-out. Airport transfer with excellent cars. Absolute great roof-top swimming pool with great view over the city.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, spectacular views. Be sure to go to the roof and take a dip in the pool and an amazing view of the city, including the Taipei 101 building. Service was excellent, I had a bizarre problem and the staff helped me out tremendously.... Wish I had more time there.
