The front desk staff here threw coins at me and basically challenged me to a fight after I asked to use the phone 5 minutes after checking out. Great service. Believe there are better options in Taipei.

Location: Totally awesome, right next to the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT stop, with loads of shopping and food. Two or three of the airport buses stop here too. Hard to beat this location in Taipei. Hotel is really a combination of two hotels that are joined, thus the hallway floors have odd elevations when crossing the boundary. There is a total of 76 rooms. Service is basic. The buffet breakfast was good and the service staff there is very friendly, even if not having much English ability.
