Great place to stay. It's a bit out of the main strip of thamel so a bit less traffic and noise. Dorm room is great value and has hot showers and comfy beds. We were at Kathmandu in Oct 2011, we stayed 2 night at the hotel, good location and clean rooms, we stayed at the roof top room, there are no lift, so you have to walk up to your room. It is at Thamel area, so we were in the middle of the tourist area. Would recommend this hotel. More

I stayed there several times for business reasons. It´s o.k. when you are in kahtmandu for some nights. It is 2 min. walk to thamel, but still quiet at nighttime. After walking around the busy parts of Thamel it was great to come back and enjoy the private garden area of the International Guest House. The included breakfast was good, the Nepali tea was great, the mattress (at least in my room) was really firm, the bathrooms had a worn out look but the garden made it all worth while. More
