I was looking forward to my stay in this hotel given the reviews and that it looked like a quaint hotel tucked away on a side road passed the French Embassy. However, I was immensely disappointed with the service and the room amenities. Although stuff were amiable, their service was slow. My room had no air - con controller and... More

The room lottery definitley dominates the quality of stay at this hotel. I have stayed in both the unmodernised and the newly furnished rooms. The rooms are basic (no bed side lamps, cramped space and air con that is only effective at close range and prohibitvely noisey to be marginal as to whether it is worth having on despte the... More

I stayed two non-consecutive nights at Hotel Manaslu, in two very different rooms. The hotel is rated as 3-star, and the beautiful garden and decent restaurant contribute to that. My first night there, I had a very mediochre room with a slightly musty smell but otherwise clean enough, spacious, and very comfortable. My last night there, I had a beautiful... More

We stayed in this hotel right after our trekking in Apr 2012. Initial impression was good, nice and quiet garden, hidden in the inner compound, though the room looks a bit too old. However, the stay got worse with the bed buggs started attacking 2 of my friends in their own room. The air-conditioning is very noisy in my room,... More

We stayed here twice as part of an organised tour and as other travellers have mentioned, the quality of the room depends heavily on whether you are given an old or renovated room. OLD ROOM * Mostly clean and dust-free * Slight musky smell that cleared quite quickly with some air conditioning * Functional hot water * Fairly drab looking... More

I stayed here twice with my family this April, before and after a trek. One of our rooms on the first occassion had a horrible smell from the bahroom, but all other three rooms were fine, well appointed and clean. Staff were friendly and the gardens and pool area lovely. The only thing that lets the hotel down is its... More

Hi Friends, i am in Nepal right now, and have stayed in Manaslu Hotel for 3 nights. First lets talk about the Negative aspects about this hotel. First, its 20 min away from Thamel. After dark, difficult to get basic things as most shops nearby are shut. Second, some rooms are old. Third, you may find Hot water problems in... More
