Excellent Value. Very good location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Occasional noise from street level - that's not just this guest house - that applies to most accomodation in Thamel.

We stayed at Asmita's on two occasions during our trip to Nepal and highly recommend it as an affordable yet gorgeous accommodation in Thamel. The area can get quite busy but Asmita's is located in an alley in the not-so-crazy part of Thamel which makes it great, if like us, you want to escape after a whole day of sightseeing... More

This is my second time in Asmita B&B and I like to recommend again this small and family run B&B in Thamel area. All family is very kind and helping you in all that you need. As I said in my first review, rooms are very clean and the mattress very comfortable, we felt like at home; we were missing... More

I've spent over a year in Kathmandu, staying in a whole lot of different guest houses and accommodation. This is easily the nicest and best-value guest house I've stayed in. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, the bathrooms are beautiful (no bucket flushes or broken toilet seats, either!), and there's always hot water. It's also much quieter at... More

We stayed at Asmita several times during our travels in Nepal- coming back twice after our initial booking. Dharma, Asmita and their family are lovely and welcoming always greeting us with a smile. We especially appreciated the hot water bottles kindly brought to our room on a particularly cold night as there is no heating (this was the case anywhere... More

My family and I had a nice, homely stay at this place. Dharma and Asmita are sweet, they try as best they can to make your stay comfortable. Our pickup was waiting for us at the airport, complete with the traditional Nepali welcome of bright marigold garlands! The white scarves that they presented to us at the time of our... More

Spotlessly clean, hot showers, comfortable matresses, fantastic value for money... loved it! We were on the top floor (Everest room) which has a seperate private bathroom just across the hall but that wasn't a problem for us. We also had access to the roof area. I could here one or two dogs barking at night but no worse than anywhere... More

We stayed for 4 nights in December 2011 and enjoyed it thoroughly: clean rooms, Asmita's great cooking, warm family atmosphere, enjoyable day excursion with Dharma. Other comments mention the bathroom set-up and dogs barking at night, so no further comment on that. As per info on their website we booked a package at Chitwan - everything was well organised and... We stayed here for three nights with our two children , 11 and 13, last week in December. Great location. The hotel is on a corner, with a middle stair well. On each floor is a toilet and bathroom, so floors only have one room, so you get your own bathroom. Other floors have two rooms and a shared bathroom.... More
