So nice to find such a comfortable and well-run guesthouse for my first visit to Kampala. Intimate, personal and top-notch service and accomodation. Try the Italian restaurant next door, too, run by the owners of the hotel. The chef/owner is from Milan, the food was as good as I'd had in Italy just the previous week. Also a pizzeria down... more

Mamba Point gets even better; the bedrooms have wall- mounted TV screens giving even more space on the desk together with stylish new curtains, bed covers and throw pillows. The bathrooms now have a hairdryer and the big walk in-showers have rainforest shower heads, a retractable washing line and new shower doors. Oh, and the towels are new and sparking... more

Having read all the reviews on this and another comparable website we opted to stay at Mamba Point in lieu of larger hotels in Kampala. We were not disappointed, Mamba Point lives up to its reputation and without "blowing sunshine" up Fiona and Guido's back-side - everything positive that is written on the other reviews is true. Our only criticsm... more

After a hectic time working in Kampala, my husband and I wanted to wind down and relax in comfortable surroundings and take advantage of the lovely climate. Mamba Point was perfect. It is small, friendly, accessible and beautifully maintained. Fiona and Guido are the perfect hosts, solicitous, caring and willing to help in any situation. The guesthouse is mostly used... more

I have stayed at Mamba Point several times and each time I have found it to be peaceful and quiet, and with excellent service. This is a small place -- only 6 rooms, so those who are looking for a "vibe" are best advised to go elsewhere. The visitor who complained about the towels and sheets missed the point of... more

Stayed in Mamba Point Guesthouse for the forth time now. I don't want to stay anywhere else. Nice, very quit, smack in the middle of town. Six small but very elegant and clean rooms. Good TV, good wifi internet. Its really a guesthouse and not a Hotel. You feel at home straight away. And you always meet new people that... more

Stayed at Mamba Point as other hotels were booked. Mamba Point is a very very basic accommodation. Clean, safe. Definitely not warm and cozy. The staff overall was very nice. Breakfast again is very basic - nothing at all special. Bed and bath linens changed daily - but quite worn and stiff. Would recommend if you are on a budget... more

We have been hesitating about writing a review about the Mamba Point for a couple of years now. We have visited Mambo Point a few times now and hope to have a chance to travel to Kampala again soon. We are afraid that by writing this review, next time we drop by Kampala it will not be any rooms available... more

As a frequent traveller to Kampala and having stayed in a wide variety of the accommodation available, this is undoubtedly the best available. The accommodation is well designed, comfortable and has all the facilities required, including reliable (and free!) internet access, for a stress-free stay. It offers a haven of peace and quiet in a frequently trying city, coupled with... more

In a city with many questionable guest houses, this one left no questions un-answered. We have stayed at many different places in Kampala seeking rest and refreshment, this one tops them all. Didn't feel like a guest, but welcomed as family. more
