I would have to agree with other reviewers, that the price point and amenities are reasonable for comparable properties in West African cities. Some of the furniture was a little tired, but rooms were clean. The food was reasonable, with expected French influences. Decent grounds - 50m pool, petanque (boules), golf practice and horseback riding, but no gym. Safe in... More

Lomé is deprived of decent hotels. For reasons to do with politics and the business environment, what were formerly the two best hotels in town, the 2 Février and the Hôtel de la Paix, are empty hulks. The Hôtel de la Paix, occupying prime property along the Boulevard du Mono, which runs along the beachfront, is especially sad. It looks... More

The decor, bathrooms, and most definitely the carpet have not been updated in 20 years. The carpets are musty and stained from air conditioner condensation, humidity, and humanity. The front desk and room service staff were friendly and competent. The safe in my room didn't work. Buy bottled water elsewhere- 2 bottles will run you 8 USD at the bar!... More

Staying here for business, so not my choice or me paying the bill! I appreciate there probably isnt a huge choice of hotels in Lome, but the Mercure could do with a makeover. Although pre-booked, we werent checked in and given room keys for about an hour and a half, not good after a 16 hour day travelling. Lobby and... More

I stayed at this hotel during the holidays and can easily say that it is the best hotel you will find in Lome, Togo. The resort grounds are absolutely gorgeous and our room included a full hotel breakfast including an omelette and crepe station (all the food was delicious). The room was spacious and included a pull out couchbed as... More

The hotel is charming but it really needs a good renovation. When you get there you feel like getting back in time 20 years, everything looks so "old". Staff is extremely friendly and the pool is very nice. Breakfast served outside on the terrace is good with plenty of different food. I asked for a "non-smoking" room but just found... More

Lome certainly gave me the impression of being one of the safer West African destinations and the standards in the Mercure Sarakawa hotel were much closer to what a Westerner is used to. It is a large spacious hotel with ample facilities, a huge pool and dining areas inside and out. My room was spacious and clean. The staff were... More

long enough to give a proper review but, This hotel is needs updating, it was comfy. Staff members very welcoming every time. The rooms were tidy. The hotel property is owned by the government, and the hotel is not been given a long lease on the land. Close to beach, and a very nice pool.

A tired property, a musty odour in the lobby, no thermostat on the air conditioning, no hot water, had to wait till 7 pm ( from noon) to get my room and cost 170 Euro. Restaurant staff pleasant and food well presented though the wine was stale and oxidised

I was skeptical after reading some reviews about this property on tripadvisor but must admit that I had a very pleasant stay when I finally got to the hotel. Yes, it is in urgent need of a face-lift and yes, it is overpriced but the food is good, staff are courteous and friendly, which makes u feel very comfortable and... More
