We spent two separate nights here as arranged by our safari company, in between seeing the countryside. The staff is courteous and helpful, the beds and rooms are comfortable and well stocked with amenities (robes toiletries, minibar, TV, table), there is free wifi and computers are available, and the food is very good (though not inexpensive). There is a shuttle... More

The Olive Grove is a cute hotel just on the outskirts of Namibia. We arrived in the late afternoon after 36 hours of travelling - so we were delighted with a warm welcome, a bright spacious room and a comfortable large bed. Interesting decor throughout the hotel - contempoary and unfussy - quite moroccan in style which was suprising, but... More

Olive Grove is a very small place located in a very quiet part of town not far from some good restaurants. On arrival we where welcomed by the team with a very nice smile and a warm hand shake. It felt very good as the team came towards the car and not waited inside the property for us to come... More

First place we stayed at in Namibia. We arrived on a late night flight missing one suitcase and were picked up at the airport by a driver from the Olive Grove. We had arranged this in advance having heard (accurately as it transpired) that the taxi system in Windhoek is amateurish, not very well regulated and unsafe. The Olive Grove... More

Thanks to the staff at Olive Grove for a fantastic last night in Namibia. After more than a week on the road we loved the luxury and just being spoiled. The big bath with its copper detail and the beautiful Moroccan inspired bathroom were highlights- also the little balcony outside our room where we had a nightcap. We were delighted... More

I arrived at The Olive Grove after a 10-day safari in Namibia and I was tired from the travel to Windhoek. I was so pleased by the warm reception of all the staff. They made me feel so welcomed. They showed me around the hotel and explained all the facilities available. They then took me to my upstairs room. They... More

I recently stayed at Olive Grove and although it is a beautiful guesthouse, it is run in a very amateurish manner that is not in line with the exhorbitant rates it charges. The staff appears unable to control their guests who appear in large, environmentally irresponsible four-wheel drive gas gusslers that do not fit into the average parking space. Instead... More

Mike Warren, General Manager, Olive Grove Guesthouse I can only guess that our guest’s considerable antipathy towards four-wheel drive vehicles was the cause of her remarkable reaction to being asked to park in the rear parking area, and the trigger for the slew of unjustified complaints that has followed. The rear parking is effectively the “main” parking area, as the... More

We booked a luxury room (because we read on TA and that the cheaper regular rooms on the ground floor don't have much privacy- which our luxury room in the end also did not have) at Olive Grove for the 1st night of our Namibian holiday. Well- let's just say that we were in for an extremely unpleasant surprise. After... More

I am very sorry that these guests had such a disappointing experience at Olive Grove, and can only assure them that what they found on that day was an aberration, and that we most definitely do take cleanliness and hygiene extremely seriously. This past year has seen the highest ever rainfall figures in Windhoek, and this has taken its toll... More

We stayed for business at the Olive Grove for 3 nights. It is in a quiet yet convenient location (you need a taxi to the city centre; they have a shuttle service for which they charge..). The rooms are spacious; stay upstairs or you will be adjacent to the outdoor eating area. The Olive, their boutique hotel, is stunning for... More

Photos on website misleading. Their motto "simply elegant accommodation" is far from the truth. Bed uncomfortable. Neighbourhood noisy - barking dogs all night. Our Namibian tour was great except for the 3 days we spend here. More
