I couldn't believe all the positive reviews for a hotel in the center charging only 20€/night, but i booked any ways and am now a fan too. The only negative point was the three cockroaches we found in our room, but it seemed like the room had been empty a few nights and they had decided to hang out there.... More

We stayed one night in the suite room, which was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, even to non-French speakers like ourselves. Everything in Madagascar is cheap so no need to worry about prices, just stay here and enjoy your time. The restaurant is excellent as well!

Upon arrival we definitely had un apgraded room , as we stopped for one night only, in state the room we had returning from our trip was the right one, it was very nice with a views of the inside garden. A great place,hospitable,friendly and really nice atmosphere plus great food in the restaurant.We used it as a base and left stuff there and it was always a pleasure to come back to.Interesting museum pieces too on display, as the local archeological museum was closed. Lovely rooms especially no 19. Nothing was too much for the staff, really kind

The hotel has everything to be a topper... but they have all miss in terms of services.... smiles, tips, efficiency are all missing.... it is really a pitty.... but by far worse was the unorganised reservation desk that missed my reservation 3 times (yes 3 !!!). In Tana downtown, very nice hotel, with tastelly décorated rooms. Really original. Good restaurant, often full, think to réserve! Unfortunately a little bit noisy, especially the wooden stairs. A good way to start or end a trip in Mada. Warmly récommended! Note: 10% of discount for hotel guests in the T-Shirt shop next to the hotel

This place has lots of charm, but if you have trouble with stairs this is not for you. Many twisting and turning stairways. Hard to find the room; but once there the rooms are fine. The resteraunt is good. I did not find the front desk staff especially friendly; also they speak little English.
