We stayed at Chez Aina twice during our adventure in Madagascar. We loved this place, especially liked Aina herself. She greeted us with open arms, had great talks. She saved us from disaster when our reservations near a national park got screwed up. She was just wonderful and her guesthouse was perfect. We meet wonderful interesting guests who were also... When I saw the beautiful setting of the traditional Madagascan residence, I was sure Aina, our host, was an artist. She assured me she wasn't, but I still think she is. Each and every room we saw there, and the divine little garden with its three tortoises were simply and intricately decorated to recreate the calm and serene atmosphere of... More

This was the first place we stayed upon arriving via Paris into Tana in early May 2012. Chez Aina is on the edge of Tana, in a hilly section of town - the local street and driveway winds through steep, old cobblestone streets. Location is about 20-30 mins from the airport, depending on traffic, and it was very quiet for... More

Back from a trip to Madagascar (november 2011) we'd like to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days'stay at "chezaina" in Antananarivo: a typical Malagasy setting, a warm welcoming atmosphere. A smiling and helpful hostess, always ready to give you information about her country and culture. Clean bedrooms, European or local traditional excellent food.

I've spend one week Chez Aina and it was wonderful. You are welcomed in a very nice environment by charming people. When you enter the house, you really feel a specific atmosphere. The garden and the house are very well arranged and the rooms are lovely. Wether you go in Tana for business, for a romance trip or with your... More

Tranquility, friendly atmosphere.. you are so warmly welcomed at Aina’s place ! My favorite was the little outdoor living rooms surrounded by plants and nice vegetation, original yet you feel at home. The rooms are clean and spacious. During breakfast and dinner, together with tasting local dishes (and great fruity rum too :-) ), you share a moment with Aina... More

First time in Tana for a one week business trip I had the pleasure to stay at Aïna. Did not really know what to expect and I must admit I was incredibly surprised. All components were there to make my stay enjoyable. The place is just splendid. A little paradise right in Tana. Turtles are walking in the garden while... More

We stayed here for one night - the first night of our honeymoon - before flying out to the west side of the island. We got in late and Aina stayed up to welcome us and make us feel at home. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and pleasant. Aina organised a taxi for us early the... More

This place really is a wonderful escape from Tana. Aina's garden is amazing and the rooms are all beautiful. Im not sure how but the location really drowns out the noise from the city and that alone is worth the slightly high prices. Also Aina is a lovely lady and wonderful to talk to with.

After taking care of a friend for three weeks, it was so nice to experience someone wanting to take care of me. Aina and her family welcomed me into their home with so much warmth! The traditional house is a tucked away oasis in the noisy city Antananarivo. It felt like home immediately. The garden with all its flowers. The... More
