Decent city hotel. It was pretty "standard" fare, in that we could have been anywhere - its not very "Malagasy" at all. This used to be the Hilton, and has kept much of that standard - for better or worse. If you do not really want to experience the culture and history of Madagascar, you would not go wrong here.... more

Stayed here as one night in the capital. Despite having booked and reconfirmed the airport shuttle it failed to arrive but when notified they did send it fairly quickly.Check in was reasonably efficient although the English spoken by the staff is not brillant. Hotel is in a dated skyscarper in dowtown. we stayed on top floor in a superficially looking nice room with king bed. However, as soon as we turned lights on we had roaches crawl over fruit plate that was left for us. The furniture was very dates as well as the interior of entire hotel. the hilton staff was excellent. the room was clean and excellent. haja front office manager was a great help as was her entire staff. i recommend the hilton madagascar. i do not recommend the hilton heathrow as i froze to death in their room and complaints were to no avail. more

Stayed for one week in March of 2004. Good food and good service. Nice view of large hills in the city. Sunday buffet was very good. more
