We liked the non-Western vibe of this hotel while still maintaining the creature comforts we are used to.

I was in Accra for a conference and had done some research on the hotels suggested by the conference manager. The Afia African Village was not one of them. But the reviews I got online were good so I said to myself..."lets give it a shot"! I'm glad I did cause the hotel is very good. It's on the beach,... More

I decided to give Afia another try (November 3- November 7, 2011)…and this time it was much better service. In fact, the owner confronted me about my aloofness during my stay and I told him about his rude/crude behavior when I was there last year. He apologized profusely and was extremely accommodating this time around. The only down side is... More

We chose Afia Beach as it seemed a more reasonable price than most of the hotels in Osu and ended up staying on 3 separate occasions during our trip to west Africa.. The hotel is situated on the beach about 10 minutes walk from Independence Arch. Its possible to walk to the main part of the Centre in around 20... More

I return to Afia time and time again. It is a really pleasant and relaxing place to be in, very close to the ministries in Accra, with a nice sea frontage. (Not for swimming, the water so close to this city is probably very polluted, but the view is great and there is always a nice breeze. The rooms are... More

Very nice hotel if you consider atmosphere more important than standard. Wonderful location by the sea, fantastic restaurant - I only had breakfast, but it was very good and with the view...wow! The rooms are simple, but spacious and functional. This was my second trip to Accra and it was a much nicer experience than my first when I stayed... More

We started our trip around Ghana here at the Afia Village staying for three nights and then moving on, we then returned at the end of our trip for a further four nights. The rooms are spacious, all with both a front and rear access. Our first stay was in the ocean view room which had a much larger bed... More

The Afia African Village was definitely expensive but a worthwhile splurge just to get away from things. Our hotel room was clean and the (unnecessary) mosquito netting made it feel romantic. There was an operable TV, plenty of storage for our luggage and a spot to sit and relax. We were a short walk out to the beach where we... More

I spent several nights at Afia African hotel with my mother and a friend after they had spent 2 weeks in a remote town. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds; overhead fans and AC options; decent shower; mosquito nets (though we didn't really need them) and good places to put things. We had adjoining ocean front rooms. Ocean front... More

We rented a house for our month-long stay in Accra, but it didn't take us long to discover the restaurant at Afia African Village and we returned often throughout our stay. The menu has something for for everyone ... Ghanaians as well as visitors from other countries. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I would caution about... More
