It was my first experience to Ethiopia! although the place was a bit far from center, the place is very nice with bigger rooms, lounge and restaurant. the other side of this that they do not use electronic keys and i was a bit uncomfortable to hold such a huge holder.

Desalegn 2 is opposite the EU offices, and just next to an efficient foreign exchange bank. We found the staff very friendly. Some rooms in the old building are very spacious, while some are quite small. The bathrooms could do with a little renovation. It might just be good to check your room before you pay. The Desalegn no 2 Hotel on EU Road (on mapos the street is called Cap Verde Road) is good value (76 $ per night incl. OK breakfast). Nice staff speaking great English. The restaurant/cafe is quite pricy. There is a large gym.

We stayed in the old part of the Hotel. Here the telephone is not working very well. The TV receiption is poor and only had a view channels. Breakfast is limited but the chief's omelet is very nice.
