I have been to Luanda on business more than a couple of times, and I always stay at Residencial Miramar/Grijoca. The staff and the owner are awosome - great customer services. They always try to accomodate you and go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best or close to perfect. Prices per night seems fair having in consideration how expensive Angola is, and how hard it is to find a hotel room. I've stayed in other commonly known hotels in Luanda, I've paid a fortune and didn't get much for what I was paying for. At this guesthouse, not only I feel good, secure, but don't feel bad about what I am paying for. The location is also plus. They are located right in the city but away from the chaotic traffic, and it is easier to get to almost anywhere from there while avoiding Luanda's traffic: to airport, to ilha or business center. They may not be a 5 star hotel but they surely know how to put the little toches in everything and that's what count the most.
