Spent 2 nights here as part of a Wildlife Safari. Had a bottom room, probably get a beter view on the top floor, however, we could still see the animals walking past! The scenery was fantastic. Services great. You have a "security" guard walk you at night, due to the animals roaming around.

We spent 2 nights here as part of a Somak safari - the pictures do not do this place justice. This is the hotel that the balloon flight is booked from - there are staff there to book it if you want but we had pre-booked as part of the holiday. Be warned - you have to meet at 4.45am... More

Excellent two night stay during our safari. We had one of the upper floor rooms in the front row of rondavels, so there was absolutely nothing in front of us or directly to the side. View was so breathtaking from a really good sized balcony and I was mesmerised!. The room itself was perfect, an the grounds were nice. The... More

I stayed there two nights during the safari. It's an amazingly beautiful place, breathtaking setting with great views on the Serengeti plains. 3 to 4 rooms are in each thatched roundavel hut, all having a patio or balcony respectively. Nice lounge and bar area as well as dining room. Excellent food and a rich breakfast breakfast / lunch and dinner... More

Good quality after a big fight about overbooking! Had booked 2 doubles many months ago. We arrived after many hours of driving to be told that there was only one room. Unpleasant front office staff tried to persuade us to accommodate with the offer but after one hour of arguing the manager gave in and found the solution.

The rooms are housed in domed huts but the standards are amazing, while my room was towards the end the view was still great, watching the Dikdik eating from the balcony with a glass of beer as the sun goes down doesn't get much better. The pool area is a great shady place to read and for the full sun... More

We've stayed in almost every Serena they have, only missing Uganda. We just got back to the US after 3 weeks in Kenya & Tanzania (our 3rd trip). All of the Serena hotels are great including the Nairobi Hotel (best in the city). This one is very beautiful. The rooms are spacious. The grounds are lovely with a lot of... More

We visited this hotel as part of safari taking in 3 hotels. the rooms were very comfortable, the hotel main buildings were impressive and well kept. OK, the buffet wasnt the best, but not bad for all that. And to those who complain about that, try asking for views over the senegeti next time you enjoy a great meal in... More
