this hotel is amazing. tucked away in a corner of the kasbah, it is everything you could possibly wish a culturally-appropriate exotic getaway hotel to be. small, with only a few guest rooms, the furnishings are impeccable local finds and antiques, everything imbibed with a sense of the mystery of morocco, with beautiful architecture, views, a stunning terraced roof, and... more

A beautiful retreat in the midst of great decor, a smart ambiance, and a charming neighborhood. An oasis in the midst of a busy city, with the added pleasure of spectacular views just a stroll away. We had two of our best meals in all Morocco at Dar Nour and breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely. A great place... more

Stayed for 6 nights at the Dar Nour in Tangier. A great hotel in the heart of the medeval medina with great veiws of the city, port and beach from the roof garden. We were supposed to be staying at the hotel for 7 nights, but our flight was delayed so we did not arrive until the early hours of... more

Unfortunately, mine and my girlfriends time in Tangiers was about as horrific and scary as you could possibly imagine. Before I go on to explain my experience let me first say that once inside the Dar Nour it is in fact a very nice place. I found the staff to be very good, the rooms were comfortable and unique and... more

We travelled with friends and stayed here for two nights - which should have been three. The riad is absolutely charming, well located and the mini suites are comfortably furnished and - rare in Morocco - very well lit. Shower rooms were a decent size and offer nice toiletries (another first) and would be perfect if they had curtains to... more

I just returned from Morocco, where I stayed for the first two nights at Dar Nour. It was beyond every expectation I had. I stayed with my 10 yr old daughter in the Mohand mini-suite. It had two very comfortable beds with a delightful view over the kasbah. it was lovely and light and cool. The owners and all the... more

We were in Marakech and looking at the options for accommodation in Tangier on the Trip advisor site. A jazz festival had filled most of the popular places so when we came across the Dar Nour advertisement we were a little apprehensive but when we finally arrived all of this faded with the charm of the Kasbah and the hospitality... more

We spent only one night as a stopover point and regretted that we couldn't stay longer. This charming little Dar is fabulous. The rooms are unique and rustic. The view from the rooftop is awesome. The food is fabulous, clearly the best breakfast of the entire trip. And the best Moroccan pastries anywhere. The caring owners did everything possible to... more

We stayed 5 days of Jan08, in room Hafa, a junior suite with a private terrace. Quiet, clean, not very large but nicely decorated. Great view through the windows and on the terrace over the Fort (Kasbah), the Medina and the sea. Dar Nour is very well placed in the Kasbah, above the Medina. Very nice welcome by Philippe and... more

LOVED our stay at Dar Nour. We only stayed one night and I wish that we could have stayed more. We were a bit apprehensive when being driven from the port to the guesthouse. Separated from our friends b/c only two people per taxi. Stupidly, my husband and I didn't have the hotel information with us and we were just... more
