Friends were getting married in Rabat and this is where a lot of us stayed, including the groom and his family. Location - right by train station. Short walk to the medina, and then to the ocean. There's also a bunch of restaurants and even a convenient store nearby - made a lot of use of that. Good prices too.... more

OK, I read all these reviews. I don't know what the other reviewers were comparing Hotel Balima to - a soup kitchen? a homeless shelter? the bench at a bus station? If those are the alternatives, then yes, the Hotel Balima will be a nice change for you. I don't think I'm overstating it that this place is a complete... more

The hotel has a type of old world charm. The rooms are relatively large, some with excellent views, but with very dated, but not uncomfortable furniture. Located very close to the main train station, across the street from the Moroccan Parliament, and on a main thoroughfare which leads down into a pedestrian market, which also eventually leads to the beach... more

We turned up a about 8pm after a long drive from Essouira, and were pleased they could accomodate us without reservation that night. The staff were a bit glum. We had a meal at the restaurant that night out of sheer laziness - regretted it, poor quality food and service and were given the bill without being offered dessert or... more

A central located hotel just across the street from 'Rabat Ville" train station which was perfectly located right next to the Parliment Building"across . The rooms are definately dated with older somewhat shabby furniture. The rooms were fairly clean not too bad there yet dont think its quite worth what they charge for it.The hotel is less than a half mile... more

I stayed here for a few days recovering from a bad cold and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is a bit glum, but the place was clean, had hot water, is in a good location, free parking, wifi, etc. You can do a lot worse than this and the price is reasonable. more

We arrived in Rabat heavily jetlagged and weren't too thrilled when the desk clerk gave us a small and dark room with two single beds right above the bar. We asked for another one, and was assigned one marginally better. We made it clear to the clerk that we were heavily jetlagged and close to a total mental and physical... more

We stayed in Hotel Balima for 2 days. The main reason why we choose this hotel was the central situation only a few minutes walk from train station. It is also not far away from the medina (10-15 minutes by feet). Hotel Balima is situated at a big road but it never felt noisy. The first room we got was... more

We spent one night in the Balima Hotel Rabat, and it was decent (though perhaps undeserving of three stars). The room was a bit dated but at least in a charming way. The desk clerk and other staff were friendly, but our waiter in the restaurant was arrogant and unwelcoming. The location is exceptional for arriving and departing from the... more
