This was a very relaxing riad to stay in and Naimi was very friendly and helpful - she also created lovely breakfasts. The terrace is gorgeous after a hot day's walking. The downstairs room is quite dark and the kitchen surrounds it so it can feel a little oppressive if the house is busy. The other rooms are much nicer.... More

The house is quite simple, but extremely beautiful. There are only 3 rooms there (2 double rooms and a triple room). We had the triple room. The owners don't live at the house, but there is someone from the stuff there most of the time. In the morning you get a simple, continental breakfast of bread, cake, yogurt, jam, coffee... More

We stayed at Riad Johenna for two nights in early January and had a wonderful time. Naima, who takes care of the guests, met us in Jema al Fna and then escorted us through the narrow streets of the madina to the riad. Inside it is beautifully decorated and has a central kitchen area, three guest rooms, and a roof... More

Four of us travelling together stayed five nights in Riad Johenna over the New Year period. It had been recommended as good accommodation and well situated by a friend who'd stayed during the summer of 2008. We arranged for an airport pickup by taxi, and then Hans, the owner met us where the taxi could go no further and walked... More

I stayed at Riad Johenna with a two friends in June 2007 and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. I must admit that initially the low price and the hostel classification scared me a bit, but upon arrival that fear quickly turned into happiness. Prior to arrival we arranged for airport pick-up (a good idea as it is located... More

We stayed here in October and it was great. The rooms weren't huge but they were fully air conditioned and had a great roof terrace which was a nice way to spend some of the hotter hours. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful although didn't speak much English. Overall it was a great place and in a great... More

Riad Johenna is a cosy little guesthouse a stone's throw from Marrakesh's crazy and wonderful Jemma El Fna square. It only has three rooms -- one on the ground floor next to the kitchen and two on the first floor, one of which has three beds. The rooms and ensuite bathrooms are nicely decorated in traditional style and there's a... More
