I think there must be two Islane hotels in Marrakech because the one we stayed in doesn't match up the previous reviews on TripAdvisor. We were staying in Agadir but booked an overnight in Marrakech to take in the Djemma el Fnaa, so fortunately we only had to endure the Islane for one night. The location couldn't be faulted as... more

This hotel was very good value for money! The room was a little tired and needed a lick of paint but otherwise very clean, though was sometimes a little noisy from other guests, you get used to the mosque. Air conditioning was great! Breakfast was basic, but surely everyone likes croissants, pastries, bread and fruit?! The fresh orange juice was... more

I love the location of this hotel, its a short 5 minute walk from the main bus stop at Djemaa El Fna, has a terrace that has the best view of the Koutoubia Mosque, the room i stayed in was spacious and had a comfortable queen size bed and the breakfast was ok - they even include local delicacies. more

Worth staying here for the rooftop restaurant location alone.Clean and comfortable, in a central location and overlooking the central square.Excellent value for money for a 3 star hotel .Recommended for trips to Imlil and Essouria as well as Marrakesh. more

We were allocated a room with a window which gave onto a corridor which in turn had windows to outside, so it was a bit dark. We improved the lighting considerably by simply removing the lightshades from the wall! upon being given the code for Wifi, the receptionist then muttered something about a voucher, so it may not be free!... more

This hotel has an excellenct location, all the main sites are within walking distance. The hotel was basic but clean so did the job for us! The rooms were small we arrived early in the morning and our room wasnt ready so we had to return after 1pm to check in we did this and our room was ready but... more

We wanted a central location, near the djemma el fnaa but not in the Medina and this hotel cannot be beaten! The triple room was adequate although the single beds were in a small area and therefore cramped. Our room was very dark and had no view but as a plus was very quiet. The restaurant has great views and... more

The staff here insisted on making us print our emailed voucher before they would let us into the hotel (even though I had the reference number and the local printer wouldn't work). They gave us as very poky room with no natural light and when we left tried to make us wait until they'd inspected the room before we got... more

Stayed in the hotel for a short period of time. Location spot on just the place everything is near by especially the mosque and jemaa el fanaa, the hotel itself wa sok for the price and does the job for sleeping in. i advise people that this is the spot on hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep as... more

This hotel was basis. There is no doubt the location is ace but the staff are rubbish and not interested in customer service in the slightest. Breakfast was good. Rooms are basic. We used this place as nothing more than a base, we knew we could not get beer here, so we went out of the medina for that, which... more
