The warmth and friendliness of my welcome was very reassuring for a single woman travelling alone. My room was spotless and I loved sipping tea on the terrace as the snow on the Atlas Mountains winked at me in the sunshine. The riad is simple but very authentic and the service cheerful and helpful.

We returned to the El Sagaya after about 5 years, and were disappointed this time. It was evident that the owner was not present, service (room cleaning and breakfast) was disorganised. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired and the price had risen steeply. Upon our return to Marrakech, following a visit to family in Casablanca, we stayed in another... More

We stayed at this Ryad for 3 nights in December. The room was clean and what we expected. It was cold at night but we got an extra blanket. Friendly staff but do be aware that the map they give you when you arrive, they charge you 30 dhm when you depart. Not that we mind paying - we would... More

very cute quaint and traditional riad in the heart of marrakech. wasn't expecting very much but on arrival we were greeted with the traditional mint tea and a friendly smile. there is no kerfew as the door is manned 24hrs. for taxis print the address before and have it to hand as it's a little obscure in location but central... To find the hotel it's best to get a taxi and have a written note of the address as many taxi drivers were unaware of the location. Once there, it's a genuine oasis of calm in a pretty hectic and bustling neighbourhood of the Medina. It's only a short walk to the souks and Djeema El Fna, as well as... More

We had a very nice stay at Riad El Sagaya. Very nice staff, beautyful yard, nice spacy rooms. Avoid the cheapest room, it has no windows. We had the room with, aircon, worth every penny. Perfect location, close to everything.

Riad el Sagaya is located within the walls of the old Medina. It's a 5-10 min walk from the souk that lead to Jemaa el Fna. The staff is very friendly and eager to accomodate any wishes. The riad is beautiful and oasis of peace compared to its busy surroundings. One of its best features is the terrace on the... More

Came back to this riad as I loved my first trip so much, I bought 2 friends with me who loved it too. The wonderfully clean and calm rooms away from the hustle and busle of the souk. Very friendly staff arranging restaurants, trips and taxis at the drop of a hat. The super breakfasts on the roof terrace made... More

I´ve been in this hotel for one week, from 6 to 13 of jan 2011, with my boyfriend, and we stayed in the room #1 (Sultana). We are a young couple, but we travel a lot, staying in 4 and 5 stars hotels. So I wasn´t expectting that much from a Riad (something like a family run business). In the... More

Initially difficult to find as are many things in Marrakesh (but that should not be a problem any more as the address is listed below and the Riad is now marked on Google Maps) and in an area that gives a fair degree of culture shock for the first day or two. We stayed for four nights in a little... More
