I stayed at the Riad Abbassia for a few nights with my boyfriend and we had a great time, it's a great base for exploring the medina and older areas of Marrakech whilst providing a tranquil escape from the noise and bustle of such a lively city. I'm going to review mainly the Riad but also metion a few bits... more

Absolutely fantastic Riad. Made our stay in Marrakesh perfect. The people who worked there were so helpful, we had a few issues (ie one of us leaving a passport in the south of Morocco) and the owner truely went out of his way to help us. The room was fantastic and the food even better. I would definately recommend eating... more

Although Riad Abbassia is far North in the Medina, everything else makes it a great choice. The Riad itself is charming, quiet, relaxing and clean. Mustapha is a very helpful & easy-going host & without him our Marrakech experience would not have been nearly as good. Latifa, cooks great homemade Moroccan food & was by far the best meal on... more

I really disagree with the negative review below. The riad was fantastic, and whilst it is reasonably far North in the Medina - the peace and tranquility of the location was a very welcome contrast to the chaos and buzz of the souks. The riad and terraces were larger than expected and rooms were clean, comfortable with incredible baths. Our... more

This Riad is truly wonderful. The rooms are clean and well decorated. We stayed at the amber suite and it was lovely. All the rooms are stunning and we popped in each one and took photos. Breakfast was great, every morning fresh bread, butter, jam, egg, fresh juice, mint tea, pancakes and yogurt…my husband loved it and I had to... more

We have just returned from a seven day stay at this wonderful Riad. We found the service received from Mustapha and his sister Latifah marvelous and discreet without being over attentive. Mustapha has a basic grasp of English and makes a concerted effort to make himself understood in this language. His communication with us was always successful. However, a basic... more

13 of us have just returned from a 4 day stay at this Riad. Mustapha and Latifah made us fell very welcome. We e-mailed Mustapha from the UK to arranged collection to and from the airport, cars duly turned up and bags where carried for us .Nothing is too much trouble and attention to detail second to none, and all requests... more

My sister and I have just returned from a 4 day stay at this Riad. Mustapha and Latifah were wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and attention to detail second to none. We had a traditional meal here with some other guests which was very nice. I would also recommend you get Mustapha to arrange to collect you from the... more

We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and thought this place sounded fantastic. The reality was quite different - from the time we contacted them via phone to get detailed directions to the time we checked out. Bottom line is we don't think we've ever stayed anywhere that treated us so rudely or badly. Calling from overseas we were met with... more

This gorgeous riad is tough to find, but so well worth it. Email Mostafa before you leave and ask for directions from the Bey Bat Layyadi; much easier than the trek up from the Place Jemaa el Fna that we accomplished (eventually) using the sun... You'll be greeted with a mint tea, a map that will be vital, and real... more
