6 of us stayed here for 2 nights in May 2012. It was 41c in the city, but as soon as you step into the Dar Nour el Houda, you feel instantly cool and relaxed. Patrick, Liliane and Ghita are superb hosts - no request is too much trouble. The Riad itself has 3 lovely double bedrooms (hint - in... More

The key to a fantastic visit to Marrakech is your choice of where to stay. The Dar Nour El Houda is the perfect Riad to come home to at the end of a hard day's haggling in the Souk. The riad itself and the efforts of Patrick, Liliane and Ghita make this a truely wonderful place to stay. This is... More

it was a very nice surprise to arrive there, the place is very beautiful, with very good taste,a bit difficult to find, but once you arrive there you feel very at home ,it is comfortable, for me its my favorite place in Marrakech now, because it is small and only has very few rooms so you feel at home, the breakfast is also... A beautiful, homely, artistic and very comfortable dar / riad. But what really makes this place wonderful are the hosts, Patrick and Liliane. They were so very welcoming, and extremely protective of us two girls, helping us work Marrakech, so our experience would be a pleasant one with limited annoyance from hawkers and souk salesmen. We stayed in the Salem... More

We have just returned from an amazing trip to Morocco and an amazing 4 nights spent at Dar Nour el Houda. Patrick and Liliane are the cutest and most lovely French hosts. The way they have renovated and added little touches to the rooms is a credit to them. Marrakech is a chaotic place but as soon as you walk... More

a few words concerning our logis of this week : The 'warm welcome' of Patrick and Liliane opened the door for a very enjoyable and pleasant staying in Dar Nour El Houda. We feld at home because the 'hotel feeling' is not in the Riad. The chef Ghita gets from us a 10 on 10. Her Tajins are equal for... More

The first thing our hosts Patrick & Liliane did was take us on an orienteering course of the Medina – this didn’t prevent us getting lost, but did mean we didn’t lose our way quite as often as we might have……their riad is a beautiful, tranquil oasis and a ‘home from home’, that is, if my home was half as... Elegantly renovated French run Dar not far from Medersa Ben Youssef, and musee of Photography. Quite, super comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, nice living area & terrace. Our stay would have been even more enjoyable if we were able to speak french to the nice owners.

The interior design of this riad is breathtaking: Simple, elegant and warm, imaginative and inspiring. Patrick and Liliane Carpentier have created a beautiful, tranquil oasis within the walls of the old city of Marrakech. They have taken the beauty of traditional Morrocan plaster (Tadelakt) and mixed it with transcendental Zen design elements for an arrestingly beautiful effect. The beauty of... More
