The interior, with its thoughtful and painstaking restoration, is breathtaking, almost like staying in a museum; and the terrace on the roof, with its stunning 360 degree view, is a great place to chill out and watch the sun set while the muezzin calls the faithful to prayer after a day exploring the medieval labyrinths of the medina. Our room... More

Having read all the glowing reports we (two couples) could not wait to visit. We were not disappointed. The decor, the staff, the food were exemplary. Unfortunately we arrived in Fes during a particularly cold snap so suffered in particular in the bathrooms. Please Dar Seffarine provide better lighting in the rooms which apart from being chilly, were gloomy. Some... More

I'd have to say without a doubt, the top experience when in Marrakech was the place I stayed in Fes. Dar Seffarine outshone all of the others, although not by a mile, as they were all very good. But the interior, the staff, the food, all recommend themselves. But first, the directions on their site were clear enough that with... More

Highly recommend this place to anyone going to Fes. Hospitality doesn't get any better than at this Dar. In addition, its a real pleasure to get to know the owners who are wonderful human beings. More

I cannot say enough good things about Dar Seffarine and the amazing staff! It was really one of the best things about our trip to Morocco (and we had a pretty great trip!). Alaa, the owner, and the staff were so warm and hospitable, it really felt like we were staying with friends. The recently-renovated Dar also happens to be... More

We will be visiting Morocco next April for the 11th, 12th or 13th time, and one of the pleasures will be our 4th stay at Dar Seffarine. Kate, Alaa and their house crew are the icing on a very nice cake. In this beautifully refurbished riad (Alaa is an architect and Kate a designer) the rooms are actually suites, large... More

Beautifully restored house, most stunning views of the medina from the terrace, central location (Bab R'cif and a short walk to Atterine Medersa which i used as a landmark), comfortable, attractive & clean rooms with high quality bed linen, attentive and ever smiling family members (aka staff), gracious house owners , Alaa and Kate with interesting stories of the house,... A delightful place to spend your time in Fez. Rooms were excellent. Rooftop terrace was so relaxing. And, the food was terrific. A combination of European, Moroccan, and Middle Eastern tastes kept the group from dining anywhere else. Thank you to our hosts. More

We stayed at Dar Seffarine this October for 3 nights. It was the first and best stay of our entire trip. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The architecture and decor was stunning! We mostly (and recommend) eating with the group at Dar Seffarine for dinner. The food was delicious! We definitely recommend Fez and Dar Seffarine as a... More
