On a recent trip to Fes we decided to splurge and stay at Riad Al Bartal. From the moment we arrived to the second we left we were made to feel like special visitors whose every need was met. We had booked to arrive on a Friday but I was quite sick and we had to cancel that first night.... More

As another reviewer said here, this riad is a destination in its own right. It is by far the most beautiful, unique and exquisitely decorated hotel I have ever stayed at. What's more, it is upscale and comfortable, but also authentically Moroccan with nothing mainstream or generic about it and that's quite a rare thing to come by these days.... More

This was my first visit to Morocco. I chose Riad Al Bartal with the help of TripAdvisor reviews, and as a result I had the best holiday of my life. The Riad Al Bartal is just as others have said - beautiful, staffed by the nicest people you will ever meet, with superb reasonably-priced food, in the perfect location. And... More

A beautiful riad with welcoming and friendly staff - may Omar and his team live long and prosper. The dinner was very good value and a fantastic example of moroccan cuisine. All the staff were very helpful and assisted us by finding us a guide who showed us exactly what we were interested in. The breakfasts were amazingly good and... More

This Riad is located inside the medina walls, however it is easy to find and a welcome retreat from hectic sightseeing. The owners were not there, but the staff were extremely knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. The interior courtyard was incredible and comfortable, with small seating areas to read, drink tea or enjoy a glass of wine. The parrot, Poulet is... More

This riad was gorgeous. There were a lot of tranquil places to lounge around and read or relax... The owners are a really nice French couple and they were very helpful about how to get around Fes. Ask for the walking tour map. Breakfast was very good.

The riad is situated just inside the walls of the Medina. We arrived by train and were picked up at the train station by request, a service that is recommended to use. The interior of the riad is stunning, beautiful decorated walls, pillars, furniture and plants. The open courtyard was covered by a removable translucent roof which let the light... More

This was our 2nd riad and Morocco and this was definitely the most impressive in terms of the grandness of the structure itself. We also had the best breakfasts here of bread basket, jams/honey, yogurt, coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, and omelette. The staff was very accommodating without being intrusive. It's larger and therefore not as intimate as the other riads... More
