Our trip to Fes was a wonderful experience thanks to the people at this Riyad. Not only are the rooms amazing, the people are fantastic too. Valerie arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the train station and had someone waiting for us when we reached the walls of the Medina to walk us to the Riyad (I... More

We spent 4 days at Riyad Al Atik in early March. Fes medina is an interesting place and being led along the walk, turning up a narrow corridor and knocking on a door - and then entering a beautifully restored riad, was a great experience. There has been obvious care in the restoration of this property and it is beautiful.... More

What a perfect place to stay! It is all character and charm. The two French ladies were so welcoming, helpful and prepared to spend time with us organising our desert safari into the Sahara. Don't venture into the medina thinking you will find this riad as it is impossible without help. We made this mistake and spent a very hassled... More

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful riyad. Valérie and Carine, the French owners, are such warm, friendly and helpful ladies. Fatima cooks excellent Moroccan dishes and the home made ice-creams by Carine only are worthwhile a trip to Fes ;-) The riyad is excellently situated, the rooms are clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Very good value for money.... More

It took 3 years to remodel and prepare this building for it's opening..and it shows.  At first I found it dark and too vertical and narrow in the center but the more I observed the more impressed I became.  The details - carving, tiles, colors, wooden doors, lit candles, iron work on the balconies and textiles were exquisite.  We asked... This Riyad is expertly run by two charming French ladies who have a superb knowledge of the city and surroundings. They are extremely hospitable and very helpful. We had the room on the top floor which is very tastefully decorated and of a very good size. We ate twice in the Riyad and both times were extremely pleasd by the... More

I think we couldn't have fell on a better riyad. The owners very hospitable; they went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, had everything we needed and had the best experience possible in Fès. They took us out to visit the medina, meet local artisans and one night, even brought us to see a show with other... More

We enjoyed 5 days staying at Al Atik. The owners Valerie and Katrine both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we required and were a source of invaluable information when planning excursions. Our room was beautifully designed, as is the whole Riyad and we welcomed the peaceful roof terrace to relax in the evening. where... More

Great Riyad, run by Valerie and Katrine - two really friendly and helpful French women. It's in the old town and more or less in the heart of the medina. I would definitely recommend this place - the owners have put a lot of thought into the design of the place and go out of their way to help you... More

My husband and I stayed at Riad Al Atik for four nights in October and really enjoyed our stay there. Valerie was very helpful and although English wasn't her first language, we thought she spoke it very well! Our room, (the blue one!) was very clean and comfortable and a lovely size. It was based up on the terrace and... More
