We didnt reserve a room, but took a chance and followed directions to Dar Tamo in the wee hours in the morning. Abdel was so nice to let us view a room on the second floor, and we were given an early 'check-in' without any additional charge. We were even given free breakfast when we came down! We had a... Having been to Morocco and Fez several times and stayed in variety of good and bad places, Dar Tamo is a perfect place to start a trip in Morocco. Close enough to everything for convenience yet also just hidden down enough tiny alleys to feel truly secluded and private. A sanctuary from the fun of the souks, we literally had... More

What we found good was the position of this Riad, that you can reach easily from the main Door of the city, since it's very well marked. First of all, we suggest not to choose the room "Patio": it's located on the ground floor, close to the entrance of the Hotel and close to the TV, so we couldn't sleep... More

The Riad itself is nice the breakfast was yummy but the hotel have a strong musty smell, the bed was very uncomfortable. The owner (Laurence) and the female staff was very friendly and hospitable except for the male owner was very rude and very violent especially in the airport transfer, was a terrible experience

We stayed at Dar Tamo for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip (patio room) and one night at the end (terasse room), and had a fantastic time. When we came back for our last night, the hosts greeted us like friends and were very warm. Abdel was really funny and a great host. The riad is located just... More

We traveled through Morocco for 2 weeks and this was the 5th riad we stayed at and in terms of value to money, Dar Tamo is at the bottom of the list (may not be the riad's fault as Fez seems to be more expensive than other parts of the country). I understand one of the previous reviewer's comments regarding... More

After Mrs. (opinion of 27 / 3), Mr breaks out on us, what fly you dive in Fez, our customers are satisfied except you! forget us. We did everything to make your stay pleasant, teas ofrerts, a guide at your disposal that we paid ourselves, but nothing did, you make things that do not exist ... you criticize all the... More

Dar Tamo is quite a gem, with a very high quality/price ratio. Is is located in a rather calm part of the ancient Medina, at very reasonable walking distance from Place Rcif (Square), the closest taxi/car dropoff point. From there it's signposted, so easy to find, but I recommend asking for an airport pickup the first time you get there.... More

The Riad itself is lovely, avoid the ground floor room which is poorly decorated using thin ply wood nailed over damp walls that smell mouldy and gave us a constant headache for the duration of the stay. THe bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. THe owners were rude and pushy, forced an aweful 3 course meal on us on... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was very nice. It is a bit out of the main bit of the Medina, we were worried about finding it so it was very nice to have Abdul come and pick us up from the bus station, but once we knew where we were it was easy to get to all... More

Laurence and Abderrahim are your ideal hosts in Fez! We were the fourth guest in this cozy "dar", and we instantly knew we came to the right place. Abderrahim picks you up from the airport, gives you some positive energy to start your stay in Fez, at the dar Laurence was awaiting us with some tea (and even made us... More
