Staying there at Dar Gnaoua was one of the highlights of our Morocco trip! My wife and I were amazed by the restoration of the dar, from the courtyard downstairs - the seemingly endless zillij tiles, our magnificent room at the top floor and to the terrace, which has a sweeping view of Fes. We can stay there all day!... More

I stayed at DAR GNAOUA in January. I was picked up by helpful Ahmed who helped me to find my way to the main places in the medina, which is overwhelming! The Dar has been beautifully renovated and I was upgraded to the terrace room with en-suite bathroom with a gorgeous view of the medina. My stay was perfect and... More

Didier and Laurance are an amazing host. They were fully booked for the dates I wanted so recommended me to another riad. However, when the dates for that riad also did not work, the two riads accommodated us by taking us one night each and arranging the easy transfer of our luggage between the two riads. Laurance also gave us... More

This review is long overdue - we stayed at Dar Gnaoua just before Christmas last year, booked and paid for the very reasonably-priced twin room but they gave us a second room and the whole first floor and bathroom to ourselves because it was unoccupied. The owner Didier was incredibly lovely and unfailingly helpful with all our requests, as was... More

Ideally located in the Medina of Fes, this Riad really makes you forget time. The terras has a superb view over the Medina and Ahmed and Youssef really make you feel at home. Take at least half a day off just to enjoy the Riad itself and order one of the tajines their neighbour makes. We'll be back!

In amongst the maze of roads there sits a cute and serene Dar that comes highly recommended for travellers from afar. Not only is it within the Fes medina locality It is a lovely place to stay - both for the comfort and hospitality. Take time over your mint tea to admire its restoration This Dar is loved and is... The dar has been meticulously restored, with a great deal of love and patience by the French couple who owns it. The hospitality is high-end quality with an authentic approach. A truly unique and serene experience.

The host were so welcoming when we arrive, they pick us up from the square. From there, they showed us how to walk into the medina to locate the riad. Though the walk, they make sure we remember how to get to the riad, so that to be sure we won't get lost. Once we reach the riad, they serve... More
