I stayed 2 weeks in Morocco and finished my journey in the Riad Laayon in Fes. It's with no doubts the best hotel in which I stayed in Morocco, it's beautiful and in the centre of the Medina. Jean-Claude and Simo are really welcoming and gave plenty of tips and advice. And the food from the brilliant cook Rachida is... More

Some friends gave us the advice to go and book this address to stay for a couple of days in Fes. The Riad Laayoun is indeed a wonderful place!! To get there we had to take small streets. Fortunately Simo picked us up at the arrival of he taxi and guided us through this maze. Then when we opened the... More

What a wonderful place. Amongst the craziness of the medina is this oasis of calm and quiet and care. After a last minute booking wonderful Simo picked us up right at the taxi stop and helped us to Laayoun. I was so grateful for a bit of English conversation (and some French, too) after bumbling our way around with little... More

We had such a warm and memorable stay at Riad Laayoun. The staff were incredibly kind, hospitable, and tending to your every need. The Riad itself is architecturally and aesthetically gorgeous. You should stay at least 3 nights. Simo was fantastic, he was a true friend in Fes. Be sure to eat dinner in the Riad as Rashida is a... More

Going to Fes can be a little intimidating - I brought my mother for 2 nights. Simo and Jean-Claude arranged train station pickup, a guide, dinner and a return to the station early enough for us to get on our 7am train (the added bonus of getting up that early was to see the amazing "trash donkeys" which I unfortunately... A beautiful Riad conveniently located in Fez Medina. Impeccable service - Simo was very helpful, even walking us to a restaurant we'd booked one night as we were worried about getting lost! We had dinner in the Riad the first night of our arrival - very good food, especially the salads and soup. I'd recommend the guide the Riad uses... More

From the moment I made the booking on line, Jean-Claude and the team began to demonstrate what real hospitality is - both French and Moroccan styled. We were not disappointed upon arrival at the Riad after having been met at the train station. Not only is the Riad truly lovely, but for us, the highlight was spending time talking with... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The price is very good compared to the quality of the riad as it is beautiful. The owner went beyond by meeting us very early in the morning on the street and letting us check in right away without problems, giving us a more expensive room with no extra charge. The riad is lovely... More

A chance meeting on entering the medina, and the subsequent discovery that high season had all the riads we thought to stay in full, had Jean Claude leading us on a wide eyed , weaving pathway to his beautiful home. A cancellation only 10 mins before we met, left us with the small, cosy paprika room. Perfect for us ,... More

A super hospitality, a great place, a great city. We were there in couple for two nights and three days, and from the rooftop terrace to the patio and the dining room, and of course our suite, everything was just perfect for relaxing from the flamboyante life of the medina. Really a lovely stay, only too short.
