Since a riad previously stayed was fully booked for an extra night, they booked a room in this riad for us. The penthouse suite over looking a mosque was convenient to access to the highest roof terrace in Fes Medina with 360 degree view which was much impressive than the view from the arm museam on the top of the... We had an excellent experience at Riad Hala. Great location- mostly quiet. Had a large triple room that accommodated us well. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The owner could not have been more accommodating. We were skeptical when he said he would arrange a tour around the medina, worrying that we would be taken from... More

5 of us stayed there for a long weekend 3 nights first week in February 2012. We did book a taxi via the hotel to pick us up at the airport (60 euro return for 5 people) so it was easy, no time wasted, to get to the hotel, taxi stop by the blue gate and we had to walk... More

Riad Hala was a delightful place to stay during our trip to Fez. Located directly on one of the main streets in the Fez Medina, close to the Blue Gate, it's convenient location makes navigating the complicated maze of Fez much easier. Inside, this beautifully restored house has a lovely court yard were complimentary mint tea is served (and wifi... More

An incredible value, tucked in just off the 'main drag' with wonderfully attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. Thankfully, we were escorted in by a staffer from the taxi drop off point outside Dar Boujeloud. We loved our 3rd floor room up the narrow/steep stairway. Watch your head, as we did bump ours a few times going... More

Hard to locate as it is somewhere in d early parts of s medina. But once reached, d happiness is like havin an oasis in d middle of d desert. Comfy rooms with nice deco. Clean bathrooms dat could look better with some touches. Hamza, d receptionist, will bring u on a tour of d riad n highlight nearby attractions... More

We visited Riad Hala in May and thoroughly enjoyed the splendour and professional service of the house. The location is ideal for being in the thick of all the Medina action, but still has a peaceful feel. Our room was very pleasant with a beautifully ornate ceiling and television. The bathroom was somewhat dated but clean and spacious. The view... More

All my anxiety about staying at this Riad was alleviated when we finally arrived. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated and the bed comfortable. We had a few bumps getting to the Riad, with much confusion about wanting an airport transfer when we didn't have a flight number (we were returning a car), but finally we managed to speak... More

Having been to Marrakesh several times we ( two couples) thought we would give Fes a look and booked the Riad Hala via Booking.Com. We arrived quite late and expected a meal that we had booked via e mail - only to be told that the Riad did not prepare evening meals - only breakfasts. However, they had organised a... More
