We stayed in Dar Attajalli in Fez for the first two nights of our trip to Morocco and loved it so much we spent our last night there too! We had organised for a transfer from the airport to the Dar and I was glad we did, I think the medina would have been rather tricky to navigate with luggage... more

After three days of trekking in the Atlas Mountains, and a 7-hour cross country drive from Marrakech, my 21-year-old son and I were ready to take on the Fes medina, the world's largest, oldest and possibly most daunting. But we also needed a respite, both to recover from the steep, rocky, snow-filled trek and as a refuge from what we... more

Go to Fez - stay in the medina - sit upstairs in Dar Attajalli's roofworld in the evening to listen and smell, in the mornings for breakfast (ah, the picture says it all; I dream about the perfect abundance of fruits, breads, condiments, and did I say fresh orange juice? cafe au lait? dates, figs, argan oil, and 3 kinds... more

among the narrow streets of Fès, the Dar Attajali offers an ideal place to breathe and you’ll enjoy an amazing view over the city from their rooftop terrace. The people from the house welcomed us in an admirable friendly and courteous way and just made us feel at ease – a perfect place to stay in Fès! more

We arrived (3 young American girls) at Dar Attajalli at night and was surprised that a nondescript door after twisting and turning down a maze of rocky streets opened up to such a beautiful and spacious living area. Kleo is warm, helpful and a perfect hostess when she welcomed us and provided us with tea and a pre-ordered dinner up... more

We spent two nights at Dar Attajalli and really enjoyed the experience. It's a beautiful riad with exquisite rooms and friendly hosts. The breakfast on the terrace is fantastic, and it's got a nice location in the Medina. Highly recommended. more

Stayed 3 nights in this lovely restored Dar. We had been traveling for 3 weeks and this was one of the most welcoming , comfortable ( especially the bed) , beautiful places we stayed. I stayed at the dar Attajalli with my 18-year-old son for five nights. The humble door on a small side street of the medina leads into a pleasant Moroccan style palace. The rooms have a lot of atmosphere and charm and have been decorated with taste. Gas heaters worked perfectly to heat the rooms in January weather. Our hostess Kleo... more

What a lovely place to stay. The building itself is an oasis in the busy medina, beautifully and painstakingly renovated and decorated in local tiles and woods and fabrics from top to bottom. And Kleo, the owner, is as warm and welcoming and helpful a hostess as the other reviews led us to expect. From the complementary biscuits and bottle... more
