The best of what is expected from a Hampton. I have had better breakfasts at Hampton's that compete up against stiffer competition. This was okay, and by far the best place to grab a bed and shower in Ames. The staff was GREAT!!! They make you feel at home. More

I love this hotel. I stay here once a month for work. The hotel staff is top notch and the rooms are all so cozy. The breakfast is good and the lady that runs it is super nice. I can't praise this facility enough. More

Came back to Isu for business, also brought a friend and a their student to visit the campus. This time I upgraded to a room with a whirlpool and it was nothing less than amazing. We only stayed for one night and the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet and convient. The whirlpool was a nice addition and... More

When in Ames I always try to stay at this hotel. Convenient location, helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. Stayed during RAGBRAI and the hotel ran breakfast earlier and longer to accommodate the riders at the hotel! More

I have been in Ames for business many times. I have been to some bad hotels in the past and This was NOT one of them. Everything about the Hampton was exactly as i would want it to be. The bed was beyond clean, I've been known to be extremely picky about this, and it was surprisingly comfortable. Like I... More

My last stay at a Hampton Inn was terrible. My company booked this trip for me, so I was hesitant when I saw I was staying in another Hampton Inn. I actually had a very nice stay. They had hypo-allergenic pillows and the bed was super comfy. The room was clean and smelled clean. Above all, the staff was very... More

Nice and clean hotel. The location is good, just off I-35 and US 30. I had trouble finding the property at first, but once I found it, it was very easy going in and out. The room had a mcirowave and a mini refrigerator. The TV was an older flat screen TV, not an HDTV. Breakfast was okay, not really... More

Mapquest leads you to wrong location; several miles north of hotel. Tried to call hotel to get proper location, they did not answer the phone (tried for at least 15 minutes). AC unit rattled and was VERY loud. Cover was falling off. Beds not comfortable. More
