This hotel was clean and comfortable, and the price was right. The staff was very courteous. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice -- our 4 year-old loved it. Breakfast was okay, about what you'd expect at a BW. I recommend this BW if your staying in or just passing through Ames.

Absolutely fantastic experience - pet friendly, nice location, book the presidential suite on the first floor (keep in mind they do not have an elevator for 2nd floor rooms) and you'll have the best night's sleep. Totally worth the price, great value, professional staff and better-than-average breakfast. Kudos to the management - you do it right.

We visited for two nights during our football weekend in the town. Very convenient off the freeway and within walking distance to the stadium - you cannot see the stadium but it is that close 10-15 minute walk. The actual campus is a short drive. My wife and I recently stayed one night while in Ames for our daughter's orientation to Iowa State University. Our room was spacious and clean including the bathroom. We stayed here while visiting Iowa State. The location is excellent, right down the road from the University. Our room overlooked the adjacent gas station, but was actually VERY quiet and with the comfy beds we slept well. Breakfast was standard fare.
