This is a wonderful historic hotel - beautifully renovated and maintained. Staff was certainly efficient and at the same time friendly, courteous, and attentive. Stayed two nights for Holiday weekend. Location is outstanding and very pretty on the Hill overlooking Augusta. Building itself is old, but well maintained. From check-in to check-out and all that was in between, our experience was great. We traveled with a large group, which can e tricky sometimes. However, this establishment rose to the occasion. The service was impeccable, as attention was given to detail by everyone we came in contact with. Great job!

Staying at an old hotel always requires accepting that some things won't be perfect. This hotel is no exception, but the charm and ambiance and friendly staff made it a great stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with helpful staff. Live music in the bar made for a cozy evening.
