Stayed the night for a show at the Athens Theatre. Hotel/room was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was great in the morning with a nice comfy atmosphere. Beds in the room were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean.Will stay again on the next trip.

I found an older hotel that had been converted to a HI Express-successfully. This solidly built older property has been freshened up to the familiar HI Express 'look' common to the chain, with the usual amenities-but better than average service. Well-managed HI Express. I was in room 516 (very back of the hotel on the top floor) for 4 nights attending a conference at the Classic Center. Okay it's not the Waldorf..but dog gone its a great place. Breakfast and the service was exceptional. Went to a conference there and the overall amenities and the service to the conference was outstanding. A hotel for me is a place to stay, good wifi, and acceptable amenities...this had it all.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Convenient walking distance to downtown. Clean rooms. Lots of parking close to room. Two blocks from regular Holiday Inn. For $7 more got breakfast for three. Would use this hotel again.

One thing that made me fall in love with this hotel is the breakfast. The cheese, waffles, pancakes...! The hotel is very clean and just next to the road. Very friendly and courteous staff. Convenient walking distance to downtown. Clean rooms. HD TV. Fresh towels made into swans! Good WiFi connection. Clean and warm pool. Great continental breakfast. Hot food! Really enjoyed my stay.

This hotel served its purpose by being close to the bars and restaurants off campus, and it was cheap. The front desk staff was not on their game, and they double charged me. I had to call them to get it resolved. If you can afford somewhere else, go somewhere else
