Unlike many cities, Tegucigalpa has not made many efforts to make its historic downtown a tourist destination that would create jobs for the locals and improve the quality of life for all. By staying at the comfortable Hotel Boston, you are voting with your tourist dollar to help the local downtown economy rather than the generic international hotel chains that... More

This hotel is not the cheapest in town, but it's really clean. Single 375 Lem, 2 Pers/400 Lem. with private bath/ceiling fan. The staff is very helpful, friendly. There is a huge flatscreen in the lobby, if you want to watch TV at night. Free coffee in the morning. I liked to stay in that hotel, because rooms are spacious... More

Located fairly close to main square with old churches, shopping, and plenty of restaurants. Very safe inside. Not very quiet but acceptable considering it is downtown. The hotel is well located near downtown within walking distance of the city center although finding a nice place to eat around it is difficult. The room was clean so it's a good place to stay if you're passing by the city. It has the basics to spend a night but nothing fancy.

The Boston Hotel, although clearly misnamed as it's a hostel, was a good, realiable, and safe place to stay in a recent trip to Honduras. Rooms are cheap - about $12 US per day. They have singles as well as doubles, and some rooms are huge and have additional twin size beds (perfect for a large family). The rooms are... More
