We stayed at Rios Tropicales for 3 nights - great location - friendly place - great coffee & clean rooms. We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Rio Dulce & kayaking on its' tributaries. I would highly recommend the tour. We felt at home at the hotel and well taken care of on our tour. In all... More

We stayed at Rios Tropicales for 2 nights, and it was a pleasant experience. Rooms are clean, all with proper mosquito netting and fans. The staff are very helpful, and they also run a restaurant across the street which serve good food and drinks. The interior of the hotel is special in every way. It feels like an old seaman´s... I went there to spend my nye and i had a great time while in Linvingstone. The location was just in the middle of everything, the accomodations were clean and gave you a nice sense of privacy, the food was on the average pricing for backpackers (a coffee for less than a euro and breakfast for 2 euros, and the... This was my 2nd visit to Rios Tropicales and I'm glad I returned. The staff are friendly and helpful (especially the young girl who cleans and runs the reception), the property is clean and well looked after. I would definitely recommend.

We arrived here just before New Year. I cannot praise this place anymore. Melanie the girl who works/owns the hotel was amazing and their family run business is unique, clean, and more than affordable. They also own a restaurant across the road that makes one of the best thai curries outside of Thailand. Its a must if you goto Livingston.
