We visited Punta Gorda in April and stayed at Hickatee Cottages. What a jewel this is! The cottages are comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. When you enter you relax. Hickatee Cottages is an excellent place to stay if you are in Punta Gorda, Belize. The owners are delightful, truly helpful and very knowledgeable of the area. Hickatee Cottages is a wonderful special place. A number of places we traveled to in Belize looked better on the website than in real life. Not so with Hickatee. Everything was excellent. Other than agreeing with all the other reviews, I just have to add that Kate and Ian are what make the cottages special. Yes it is beautiful, yes the food is great... But how often do you get a sense of humor like Ian's? Not only is he a kick, but he also knows the area and can be helpful... more
