I don't want to sound like an echo to all the other posts, so while I will say that everything from service to value to the cabins to the tours to the food was some of the best I've ever seen and experienced, I'll try to explain the added benefits that made the Lamanai Outpost Lodge better than excellent. It... More

We stayed one night during a cultural trip to Belize. The accommodation is excellent as is the food. The people are lovely and there is a well stocked shop and a lending library. The only downside is the viciousness of mosquitoes during the rainy season. They bite through clothes and insect repellent and there are a lot of them. The... More

The reason you go to Lamanai Outpost is location, but then you get there and you realize there is so many more reasons to go there. The lodge is literally set in the middle of the jungle, one can expect to see howler monkeys and salamanders right outside your cabana. We stayed for 4 days and did multiple tours, but... More

This was one of the most incredible vacation experiences we have ever had. No, it does not have all the thrills of a 5-star hotel, but if you are even considering vacationing in the Belizean jungle, then I would assume that is not your main concern. The resort is nestled in the heart of the jungle, feet from the New... More

We decided to end our honeymoon at the Lamanai Outpost. In only 1 word it is AMAZING. I have to start by saying Ellen Howells, the lady who helped book our stay at Lamanai Outpost was amazing and incredibly helpful. As far as I know she is the one to contact if you would like to stay at the Outpost.... More

We disembarked from our flight and were driven to the boat launch, where we were picked up by lodge staff and saw wonderful sights as we boated down the river to the lodge. We stayed at a jungle cottage in Lamanai. Beautiful quarters. We went to the ruins and on medicine walks and learned so much about the birds, plants,... More

We wanted a bit of R&R in a relaxing setting away from the rest of the world and we couldn't have chosen a better location. After a tranquil boat ride, stopping to identify wildlife along the way, we arrived at the beautiful and welcoming Lamanai Outpost Lodge. The staff were all friendly, accommodating and extremely nice. Everything was done efficiently... More

Stayed for 4 nights back in February with my husband and 2 daughters, aged 8 and 10. We loved the adventures offered and the fact that they all began at the Lodge (except the Mennonite Experience) by foot or by boat. Our girls enjoyed all of the excursions - some highlights were the tour of the Lamanai Maya ruins, the... More

I shall not repeat all the accolades already posted here, but just second all the rave reviews. Particularly liked our two guides, Reuben and George. Do not miss the Crocodile Encounter. A rare, rare opportunity to do something REALLY different. Our 13 year old granddaughter will never forget it. She even got to name the Croc that we caught. Karen... More
