I contacted Betty via email and made arrangements two months in advance. She's just as friendly in person. Air conditioning made the heat wave in San Ignacio bearable. The little balcony fun to sit at in the late afternoon and evening. Nice common area, but it was too hot to enjoy! Kept our water and food cold in the common kitchen's big frig.

This neat as a pin property in central San Ignacio was the perfect start to our vacation. With air conditioning and hot/cold water (neither always available for budget travelers in Belize), it was a comfortable place with helpful staff. We were able to store food in the shared kitchen, and the staff stored our luggage overnight when we went on an overnight trip to Tikal. This WAS our most expensive hotel, at US$47.50 per night for two. We would definitely stay there again!

Great central base camp for all of your adventures! Amazing staff and sparkling clean. On the main street with a balcony to see the action and relax while still very quiet and secure. Great kitchen for simple necessities and laundry services. Loved it thanks!

We have been staying there for sixteen years and will go nowhere else. Owner operated and superb staff, someone is always available to help and guide you with your room stay and experience in San Ignacio. Best choice for a budget experience. Rooms were very comfortable and clean with fast WIFI. Kitchenette very clean but we usually eat out at one of the very reasonable local restaurants. Laundry service and cool air conditioning as options. This guest house is central to anything in San Ignacio, just a couple minutes walking from the banks, restaurants, shopping, farmers market, tours etc..Stay there and you will not be disappointed.

Have stayed there 6 different years and have always found it comfortable and safe. The owner is very kind and helpful. She will help you with parking. They offer laundry service. Beds are comfortable and I have used it for large groups (21 university students) and they were very complimentary of their experience. It is very close to a number of cafes, restaurants, and the farmers' market and the beautiful river. The suspension bridge is about a half block from the hotel and everyone should walk it. Also, it is close to a beautiful golden rain tree that is worth a look and a photo shoot. Very reasonable.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It has clean rooms and a good shared kitchen. Friendly staff that were always willing to help. The beds had a good quality. We always had rooms without and only a fan. Be warned that in this place temperatures do not drop under 30 C at night even when you leave windows open and air it for an hour with open door as well.

This hotel was recommended by "Rough Guides" as an in-expensive option in San Ignacio, and they were spot on. Lovely clean premises in the centre of town, tidy and quiet room and good facilities. Very friendly and helpful girl at reception. For $35 a night, it was an excellent choice.

I was unaware of this Guest House until I was booked on a business trip. I will agree that it is pretty central, secure and kept quite clean. It is of great value for a low budget no frills client. The hotel features a common area that includes a lounge and a kitchenette, which has a fridge and utensils are provided. I stayed in a room that was close to the common area, and if there is a large group (which there was during my stay) it can get very noisy. The room I stayed in had a ceiling fan, air conditioning, cable tv and wireless internet access, which were included in the rate. I had some issues with the water pressure in the room, as it mostly trickled from the shower head and the hot water trickled more than the cold water. I also had an issue with the deadbolt lock on my door as I had to struggle to lock the room door after it was opened. Not sure if that goes for all rooms, but it was my experience. The staff that I encountered worked from 2 pm to 8pm and was very friendly and helpful. Before and after those hours you are required to go downstairs and ring a bell, (a little inconvenient as there are no phones in the room), but its one flight of steps so its not too far, and good exercise. This is not a wheelchair accessible hotel. The bed was comfortable, so it provided what I needed, which was a good night's rest after a long day of work.

We stayed in San Ignacio and Betty was recommended to us. The location is great and close to all restaurants, bars and tours. We were able to walk around and explore the town easily from the guesthouse.

This is a very clean, nice hotel right in town with a friendly and helpful night staff. No bells and whistles, just a nice place to stay.. The rooms did not have kitchens, but there is a kitchen available in the common area.
