duPlooy's is a hidden gem in the heart of the jungle. We were very surprised to see how luxurious and upscale the accomodations were after the bumpy gravel road in (most roads in Belize are pretty bumpy, so don't let this frighten you away! If you are not really the adventure type and don't like gravel roads, you should stay... More

This lodge is on the same gravel road from which Chaa Creek branch out from the main road. It is indeed in the jungle but it has not been cleared and groomed and is as basic as it comes. The little cottages are completely surrounded by jungle. Kinda cool? Not really, and I m an unusual gal. The kind that... More

Hello, I am sorry that you were disappointed over-all with your stay at duPlooy's Jungle Lodge. ..and glad that you, at least, thought our service and food were excellent and the staff helpful. I cannot apologize for being so much in the jungle because that is why we call ourselves a jungle lodge. When we arrived in Belize 25 years... More

We stayed at duPlooy's in the offseason and really had a fantastic stay. The reosrt is run top-notch. Every square foot of the grounds is well cared for and constructed. There is a river, fantastic botanical gardens, and nice, quaint cabins. No detail is ignored. There were two things that were pleasant surprises to us. The first was the food.... More

The whole experience at DuPlooy's was a delight. The grounds are magnificent. Hospitality first rate. Trips all very good. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Plan to do less than you'd normally think because of the heat and to make sure you have time to just explore the grounds, the botanical garden, and hang out on the deck. More

My husband and I stayed at duPlooy's from Oct 22-26 and could not have been happier with our experience. First, from the time we decided to book our trip online to our drop off at our next destination the staff was so warm, friendly, super accommodating, knowledgeable about all things Belize, and helpful. Thanks again for making our stay so... More

We went during the off season, so if you go during the busy season, you might have more people to contend with. For us, it was absolutely perfect. In fact, we cancelled other plans to extend our stay here. Have Phillip take you Bird-Watching, he's a pro. All the staff is great, and their guides are amazing. Miss Judy has... More

duPlooy's Jungle Lodge I stayed at DuPlooy's Jungle Lodge for an EduVenture trip run by Joy Stephens and Kathleen Kryza in June 2011. It was an unbelievable experience close to San Ignacio. The Lodge was so accommodating with getting us anything we needed. The gardens were beautiful and there were plenty of eco-tourist adventures we were able to do right... More

Our stay at Du Plooy’s Jungle Lodge was by far the best vacation of our lives. From our very first encounter to our final farewell, every step along the way was superlative in every respect. We decided on Belize as a destination for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration and travelled there with a mixed group of 5 parents, 3 grandparents,... More

I booked our family of 10 for the one week "Jungle, Ruins and Reef" trip. Duplooys did everything that they said that they would. It was service from getting off the plane to our return to the airport. All staff were helpful. Their guides were excellent. June was too warm for some in our group as the accomodtions at the... I can't say enough good things about duPlooy's, Cayo District, and the Belizean jungle. I spent a week at duPlooy's with my husband, two children (age 9 and 10) and my mother-in-law. Excellent service, wonderful people, wildlife everywhere, surrounded by the jungle. The food was wonderful and the staff were always willing to answer questions about the unfamiliar fruits and...
