Blancaneaux is a beautiful resort that makes the utmost of its setting giving each cabana a feeling of seclusion. I stayed here for 2 nights & 5 nights at chaa creek, hard to say which place I enjoyed more but would have to say it was Blancaneaux I was bitten (not by mosquitoes, think they were called horseflies) immediately but after that used repellent (a natural version they keep for you in the bathroom) and was unharmed since then... more

The grounds of Blancaneaux, and the actual cabanas are beautiful. But the beauty is only skin deep. Where do I begin? There were problems with just about everything - the biggest being bed bugs.
